An exhibition of 40 photographs taken by Cork photographer Philip Daly and toured in Ireland by Burma Action Ireland in support of the people of Burma.
The photographs were taken in November 2006 by the Cork photographer, Philip Daly, who was accompanying Simon Coveney TD on an EU fact-finding mission to the Thailand-Burma border where there are many thousands of Burmese refugees who have fled from the violent onslaughts of the Burmese Army. Some of the people in these camps have been trapped in statelessness for up to ten years. Philip generously gives permission for Burma Action Ireland to exhibit the photographs, as part of our work of raising public awareness in Ireland about the situation in Burma.
