'One Belmullet, One Book 2011' is a new project in Erris, Co. Mayo which will get people in the community reading and talking about books. The whole idea behind it is to encourage people in the same area to read the same book, at the same time, and have fun while they do it! The events will draw people together from different ages and backgrounds, and make reading a communal rather than individual activity. It's an opportunity for the whole community to get involved in reading for pleasure. The book in question is being kept top secret until the launch to make it more fun for people!! One Belmullet, One Book will run for the month of June and it's aim is to remind people of how fun reading can be, and bring the shared experience of a book to life in the community.
