The Children’s Summer Reading Challenge runs again this year in Achill Sound Library throughout the months of July and August. Each child must read 4 books by a male author and 4 books by a female author, 8 books in total, and at the end of the challenge answer a question on one of the authors. Children under eight who participate can answer the question by drawing a picture. Everyone who completes the Challenge will be awarded a special certificate and will be invited to a celebratory evening in Achill Sound Library later in the year.
