ITA Survey, 1940's

The Irish Tourist Association Survey was carried out all over the country in the 1940s by the fore-runner of Bórd Fáilte. Information on the amenities, attractions, history and antiquities of each parish was compiled on prescribed forms. Often, additional sheets were submitted by the surveyors and, occasionally, photographs and sketches.

This Mayo Survey is being digitised on an ongoing basis and may be viewed on the Local Studies section of the library website.
