In response to the growing number of foreign nationals now resident in County Mayo, many of our libraries now stock "Foreign Language Collections". Please contact your local library

- Dual-Language Collection
A special dual-language collection is available to help meet the needs of the large numbers of foreign national students attending Mayo Schools. These books contain both English and a second language text for example:
English/Gujarati; English/Somali; English/Polish; English/Urdu etc. School Library Service

Ballyhaunis Library:
- Books and Audios on learning English including IELTS (International English Language Testing System). It measures and tests ability to communicate in English across all FOUR language skills,

The course is intended for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication. - A large selection of books in Urdu

- Pimsleur language courses covering English for: German speakers, Cantonese/Chinese Speakers, French speakers, Polish speakers and Portuguese speakers
- Lingaphone packs English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Irish.
- Various other language tapes and CD's to learn German, Serbo-Croat, Spanish and Irish.
- A selection of Polish titles

- CD containing the Full Licence, Provisional Licence and Tax Renewal Application forms in the following eight different languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian and Russian.
