LizardTech / Celartem's DjVu-Viewer offers beyond the obvious toolbar features a number of very useful functions, especially through the context menu. Please note that these features are only available in recent DjVu-Viewer versions. You should have at least version 6.1.1. If in doubt please go to the DjVu-Viewer installation web page.
To change the color and contrast right click somewhere inside the display area to open the context menu. Then select "Help > Preferences", move the slider and apply by clicking on the OK button.
Instead of opening individual map pages you can choose to use the "Browse the set" link. It allows you to navigate through a whole collection with the means provided by the DjVu-Viewer. You then find in the toolbar additional Previous-Page and Next-Page arrows, a Select-Page dropdown box and also the Double/Single-Page-View button (shown here at the right hand side). Click on it to look at two neighbouring pages at the same time. Unfortunately, though, this feature always shows pairs of odd / even pages, which means, you can look at pages combinations "1 and 2" and "3 and 4" but not at "2 and 3".
You can select a map area, copy it to the clipboard and then paste it as usual into applications like Microsoft Word. Right click somewhere inside the map display to open the context menu. Choose "Selection > Select Region". This changes your current cursor into the crosshair-cursor. Left click with it on one corner of the area, keep the mouse button pressed, move the cursor to the opposite area corner and then release the mouse button. The selected area is now displayed in reversed colours. To copy to the clipboard right click a second time. Choose "Selection > Copy". Open second application and use the Paste command.
