Sports in Kiltane parish, from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1943
The main sporting activity in Kiltane parish is sea angling and angling on the Owenmore River, Muinhin River, Oweniny River and Altnabracky River. Shooting is also excellent. At the time of the survey there were also flapper race meetings on the strand at Geesala.
