Curiosities, customs and patterns in Kiltane parish, from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1943
Under the heading of curiosities in the parish of Kiltane, there is a description of the musical bridge at Bellacorick. Under the heading for customs and patterns the only listing is for the stations at Mount Jubilee on August 15th. These stations commemorate a supposed sighting of the Blessed Virgin. A church, now in ruins, was built on the spot by John MacHale when he was bishop of Killala.
