The main features of the parish of Kilmoremoy are the scenic views, the river Moy and the town of Ballina, which, at the time of the survey had a population of almost 6,000 and was the third largest town in Connaught. There are numerous antiquities described in the survey and two photographs are included with the survey forms. The survey was carried out in 1942 by Conor O'Brien.
