The Irish Tourist Association Survey for Kilmore-Erris parish was completed by Conor O'Brien in 1943. The parish occupies the Mullet peninsula and is most notable for its spectacular scenery and wealth of antiquities. There are numerous very small villages, the only one deemed worthy of separate description being Binghamstown.
