List of sports and games in Kilmeena Parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1944
There were just a few sports catered for in Kilmeena Parish in the 1940s. Included are St. Brendan's G.A.A club, an annual race meeting under flapper rules at Myna and an annual sailing and rowing regatta at Roscahill. There is a hole by hole description of Westport golf course located at Carraholly - it was a nine-hole course at the time.
Shooting and fishing are also included, but unusually there arefew details given of angling facilities as sea angling for this area was covered in the survey for Aughaval parish.
