Description of landscape and geology of Kilmeena Parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1944
In the introduction to this section it is pointed out that the modern parish of Kilmeena is in fact a composite of the parishes of Kilmeena and Kilmaclasser. The population in 1944 was put at 2250. The remainder of the section describes the landscape and geological features of the area.
