Historic sites in Kilmeena Parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1944
This section of the survey for Kilmeena parish is mainly preoccupied with an account of various events leading up to the Battle of Inishraher, an island in Clew Bay. The source of the account is the annals of Lough Cé. There is also a note on a story relating how the O'Malley Clan survived being completely wiped out by the Danes.
