Historic sites in Kilconduff parish, from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1944
Meelick is mentioned in the annals of the Four Masters as the place to which Hugh O’Connor with the English pursued the sons of Roderic O’Connor, in 1225. The only historic building of any significance is Brabazon House, owned at the time of the survey by the sisters of Mercy.
