Curiosities and customs in Islandeady Parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1945
Under the heading of Curiosities, there is a description, accompanied by a simple drawing, of the Rahins Cenotaph. this is a monument erected in memory of Maria Brown O'Donel. there are additional notes on the Brown and O'Donel families.
There is a brief list of some local customs relating to funerals and specific calender occasions such as Hallow'een, Shrove Tuesday, St. Stephen's Day etc.
