The Irish Tourist Association Survey for the parish of Islandeady was completed in 1945. the surveyor was Donal Faughnan. Islandeady is a completely rural parish as there are no towns or villages. Thus there are no forms included for amenities and other general information. The bulk of the information relates to the landscape, antiquities and historical sites. Apart from fishing and shooting there are few sporting activities listed.
