Ballsakeery parish is located between Ballina and Killala. The survey for this parish was carried out by Conor O'Brien and completed in 1943. From a tourism point of view the main attractions at the time were the pleasant scenery, fishing on the Moy, which forms the eatsern boundary of the parish and Rosserk Abbey.
