Sports and games in Backs parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1942
At the time of the survey, there were not many formally organised sporting activities in predominantly rural parishes and Backs parish is a fairly typical example. Apart from a handball alley at Knockmore and Knockmore Boxing Club, this section deals mainly with shooting and angling. The details of angling facilities are given for the River Moy, Lough conn and Lough Cullin.
