Amenities and general information for Ardagh parish from Irish Tourist Association survey 1942
The parish of Ardagh is located just to the south west of Ballina. there are no towns or villages and only one or two shops. The only amenities listed are one church, one sub post-office at Knockanillaun and three schools at Knockanillaun, Ardagh and Rathmanagh.
