Amenities in Aghamore parish, from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1944
There are very few amenities in this predominantly rural parish. The only village is Aghamore, population in 1944 is given as 45. There was no public water supply or sewerage scheme at the time. The only public building of note was St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, which is briefly described. St. Mary’s national school is also mentioned.
