Description of landscape and natural features of Aghagower Parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1943
This section describes the landscape, geographical and geological features of Aghagower Parish. The most notable features are described including Aille caves and the Aille River. Mention is made of the presence of lead and slate in the mountains in the area giving rise to lead mining works, (long discontinued at the time of the survey) and slate quarrying.
