Description of antiquities in Addergoole parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1942
Listed among the antiquities in Addergoole parish are the following:
- Abbey at Bofeenaun: These ruins were traditionally associated with St. Finan and were once a house of the Conventual Franciscans.
- Church at Addergoole: This building, in a state of advanced decay , was associated with St. Kieran and is located near Lahardane.
- Knockfarnaught: The hill of Knockfarnaught is the location for two forts, a cromlech and a stone circle. Opposite the hill is a large fort known as Lios na gCorp.
- Ancient castles: Two castles mentioned of which little or no traces remain: Carrowkeel, built by the Bourkes and Keerhanaun Castle at Castlehill.
- Keep at Knockmaria near Lahardane.
- Supposed site of ancient castle at Terrybawn.
