Amenities and general information for Addergoole parish from Irish Tourist Association Survey, 1942

Despite the fact that the parish of Addergoole is very scenic, there are very few amenities for tourists listed in the survey. The only village worthy of the description is Lahardane which contains around 30 houses. There are churches at Lahardane, Bofeenaun and Glenhest, 5 sub post-offices, schools in Lahardane, Massbrook, Rathbane (Bofeenaun), Cloughbrack, Cloondaff (Glenheat) and Rathkill. There is also a mention of a public monument in memory of Fr. Conroy, executed in the1798 rebellion.
