First page of Irish Tourist Association survey for Addergoole parish, 1942
Addergoole parish is located south of Crossmolina and contains some of the most picturesque landscape in County Mayo so it would be very atractive from the point of view of tourists. However, at the time of the survey, 1942, there were very few tourist facilities. Angling, particularly in Lough Conn would have been the main leisure activity. The only village worthy of the name was Lahardane.
The survey was carried out by Conor O'Brien.
